About Campaign Donations

Political campaign contributions are not tax-deductible.

For contributions made electronically (over the internet), Texas Election Code Section 254.031, paragraph (1-a), requires the political campaign to record the contribution date, amount, and the full name and address of the contributor. This information is included in the required campaign finance reports that are filed with the Texas Ethics Commission.

If you want to contribute, but do not want your personal information included in campaign finance reports, please send a check or money order for up to $110 to Kevin McCormick for Lt. Governor, P.O. Box 513, Lindale TX 75771. Contributions of $110 or less in the year from a contributor will be reported as the total amount from all such donors, without personal details.

In the very unlikely event that I have contributions that have not been spent at the end of the campaign, this amount will probably be donated to a charity and/or to the Texas Green Party. These choices are governed by Texas law.
